Professor V\u00edtor Frade: <\/strong>Sim, isso \u00e9 evidente. Mas isso, tamb\u00e9m n\u00e3o \u00e9 linear. Imagine que voc\u00ea vai treinar uma equipa nova, voc\u00ea tem todo o interesse que ela se identifique na suas linhas gerais, macro, como voc\u00ea quer que jogue. E ver isto \u00e9 mais complexo ou menos complexo do que estar a treinar uma transi\u00e7\u00e3o ou outra coisa!? \u00c9 por isso que eu digo que a hierarquiza\u00e7\u00e3o tem que ser\u2026 e no primeiro treino, olhe, voc\u00ea n\u00e3o sabe como \u00e9 que eles v\u00eam, mas os jogadores devem saber desde logo, em linhas gerais como quer que eles joguem. Portanto, a hierarquiza\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 a partir do macro isto \u00e9, do objeto ou seja, da aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o dos contornos do jogar. \u00c9 Gestalt, est\u00e1 a perceber?!<\/span><\/p>\n

TP: Este Princ\u00edpio da Progress\u00e3o Complexa, tamb\u00e9m tem a ver com o <\/strong>Morfociclo Padr\u00e3o<\/strong><\/a>, no que diz respeito\u00a0 \u00e0 fadiga t\u00e1tica?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Tem, por isso lhe chamo complexa. Porque por uma raz\u00e3o qualquer ou at\u00e9 inesperada, voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode fazer, pode achar melhor n\u00e3o fazer o que fez na semana anterior. Dou mais um dia de descanso por qualquer raz\u00e3o, sei l\u00e1, foram dois jogadores expulsos e a equipa teve que fazer um jogo do cara\u00e7as… Ela \u00e9 complexa por isso, n\u00e3o linear, vai atr\u00e1s e para frente, e isso implica que todos os aspectos que t\u00eam a ver com as circunst\u00e2ncias sejam do seu dom\u00ednio, e \u00e9 nesse sentido, volto a acentuar, que o Mourinho diz que o Modelo \u00e9 tudo.<\/p>\n

O Modelo \u00e9 isso tudo porque… o que \u00e9 o Modelo?! \u00c9 a fotografia, ou se calhar a ecografia que voc\u00ea tira da realidade para depois poder modelar, e \u00e9 no modelar que a aproxima\u00e7\u00e3o entre o modelo e o que voc\u00ea quer se faz. Mas se voc\u00ea negligenciar aspectos relevantes est\u00e1 modelar mal. \u00c9 por isso que o Modelo \u00e9 tudo, o que \u00e9 uma l\u00f3gica completamente diferente daquela que depois leva as pessoas a dizerem que o modelo \u00e9 o 4-3-3 ou algo parecido. Repare, um contexto quando \u00e9 vivenciado d\u00e1 posturas, d\u00e1 atitudes, d\u00e1 comportamentos, muitos deles resultantes do h\u00e1bito que at\u00e9 n\u00e3o temos dele consci\u00eancia, s\u00e3o subconscientes, portanto \u00e9 muito complexo.<\/p>\n

O que eu quero \u00e9 que haja afinidade de emotividade, uma afinidade de afectividades, afectividades conceptuais, de ideia de jogo, e isso \u00e9 atrav\u00e9s de um contexto, mas n\u00e3o pode ser um contexto balofo, do tipo \u201c\u00e9 11×11 e n\u00e3o sei qu\u00ea!\u201d. N\u00e3o! N\u00e3o! S\u00e3o contextos fraccionados em fun\u00e7\u00e3o de uma hierarquiza\u00e7\u00e3o que eu concebo, que n\u00e3o \u00e9 taxativa, \u00e9 em fun\u00e7\u00e3o dos meus desvios, das minhas circunst\u00e2ncias, da minha intelig\u00eancia, \u00e9 isso. Mas tem que ser assim, sem perda de sentido. \u00c9 por isso coloco a enf\u00e2se na Articula\u00e7\u00e3o de Sentido. Isto \u00e9 complexo. N\u00e3o \u00e9 vais assim. Assim, tens uma cartilha, n\u00e3o. Por isso eu digo que o \u2018aqui e agora\u2019 \u00e9 extremamente importante, e depois sim senhor, n\u00edveis de organiza\u00e7\u00e3o… sen\u00e3o, est\u00e1s a alienar!<\/p>\n

Imagine um poeta do cara\u00e7as, que estava a escrever para toda a fam\u00edlia e deu-lhe uma c\u00e3ibra no dedo, embora seja s\u00f3 aqui, \u00e9 localizado, mas eu n\u00e3o escrevo o poema que entretanto me ocorre. Portanto eu posso ter as pernas cansadas e como \u00e9? Penso no jogo, bacano, porreiro, mas como \u00e9? Eu n\u00e3o posso jogar! Portanto, esse lado mais f\u00edsico \u00e9 importante e \u00e9 ent\u00e3o contemplado pela Altern\u00e2ncia Horizontal em Especificidade. \u00c9 tamb\u00e9m o lado que me permite estar fresco para jogar. E como as pessoas passam pela Teoria e Metodologia do Treino, que \u00e9 um cadeir\u00e3o do cara\u00e7as, mas decoram e n\u00e3o sabem nada. Depois como v\u00e3o tendo cada vez mais menos tempo para a cadeira de op\u00e7\u00e3o, \u00e9 s\u00f3 o \u201cModelo de Jogo para aqui, exerc\u00edcios para acol\u00e1…, Bioqu\u00edmica e tudo mais\u2026\u201d O que \u00e9 isso? E poucos se interessam pelo essencial, outros nem percebem.<\/p>\n

TP: Ent\u00e3o, enganam-se quem diz que a <\/strong>Periodiza\u00e7\u00e3o T\u00e1tica<\/strong><\/a> n\u00e3o tem preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es fisiol\u00f3gicas?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Professor V\u00edtor Frade: <\/strong>Claro, porque se a Periodiza\u00e7\u00e3o T\u00e1tica diz que a T\u00e1tica \u00e9 uma emerg\u00eancia, que \u00e9 uma Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o, que n\u00e3o \u00e9 f\u00edsica, n\u00e3o \u00e9 psicol\u00f3gica, n\u00e3o \u00e9 t\u00e9cnica, mas sem estas n\u00e3o existe. Ela n\u00e3o tem as preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es f\u00edsicas que se dizem ser as preocupa\u00e7\u00f5es que devem ser as f\u00edsicas. Por isso \u00e9 que eu digo que h\u00e1 um paradigma que \u00e9 absolutamente dominante, que \u00e9 o paradigma do atleta: saltar mais alto, correr mais tempo e correr mais depressa. Ora isso n\u00e3o tem nada a ver com o jogar. Jogar \u00e9 outra coisa \u2013 eu tamb\u00e9m tenho que correr, tenho que o fazer \u00e0s vezes em velocidade… Se o Usain Bolt for correr com Messi, se calhar o Messi come\u00e7a mais r\u00e1pido, mas quando o Messi chegar a meio aos 50metros, o Bolt j\u00e1 est\u00e1 l\u00e1. O Cristiano \u00e9 veloz, mas tem alguma coisa a ver com a velocidade do Messi?!<\/span><\/p>\n

Depois j\u00e1 ir\u00edamos para o lado est\u00e9tico do Jogo, nas suas dimens\u00f5es coletiva e individual! Portanto, isto tem a ver com o que estou a evidenciar, com efici\u00eancia e efic\u00e1cia… isto \u00e9 importante, e sem isso n\u00e3o vale a pena pensar nas coisas. Porque eu penso o treino e o jogo para vencer, e por isso digo que estou permanentemente preocupado com a efic\u00e1cia e a efici\u00eancia, mas tamb\u00e9m continuamente preocupado e at\u00e9 perturbado com o problema est\u00e9tico! Eu revejo agora o Brasil de 1980, 1982 e at\u00e9 dos anos 1970, e deleito-me a ver aquilo. Mas aquilo n\u00e3o \u00e9 absolutamente transfer\u00edvel para os dias de hoje? Em termos de ataque \u00e9, mas agora tenho que me preocupar com os equil\u00edbrios da equipe, coisa que eles n\u00e3o se preocupavam naquela \u00e9poca porque n\u00e3o era preciso para continuar a ganhar. Ent\u00e3o, estou interessado na est\u00e9tica!<\/p>\n

Porque a esteticidade em termos de ataque \u00e9 extremamente revelante, em termos defensivos digamos que o lado global, o lado formal pode ser rico, mas o individual n\u00e3o pode ser muito. No ataque j\u00e1 pode ser o contr\u00e1rio! Jogar com esta possibilidade no ataque e ao mesmo tempo dar garantias defensivas… at\u00e9 porque a maioria dos golos s\u00e3o marcados devido a desequil\u00edbrios defensivos significativos.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Por que \u00e9 que o Chile que entusiasmou toda a gente foi eliminada? Porque se desequilibra, n\u00e3o t\u00eam crit\u00e9rio de jogo, com o M\u00e9xico aconteceu o mesmo\u2026s\u00e3o equipas que\u2026\u00c9 por isso que o Mourinho diz… veja a aberra\u00e7\u00e3o que \u00e9 ouvir as pessoas dizerem que a equipa do Mourinho \u00e9 defensiva! Ent\u00e3o o homem tem campeonatos ganhos, tem a equipa que mais marca e o equipa que menos sofre! Como pode ser defensiva? E ganham! As pessoas n\u00e3o sabem o que significa ser uma equipa atacante. Atacar significa marcar de forma sistem\u00e1tica e n\u00e3o necessariamente marcar sete golos. Portugal venceu a Coreia por 7 golos e foi eliminada. Eles n\u00e3o marcaram nos outros jogos. Isto \u00e9 um problema de desconhecimento, neste caso, do que \u00e9 o Futebol, objectivamente.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

O Mourinho deu uma entrevista genial, ele deu essa entrevista logo ap\u00f3s chegar na Espanha, a falar como \u00e9 que ia ser. E as pessoas n\u00e3o sabem, e \u00e0s vezes d\u00e3o at\u00e9 guarida a estas conversas que parecem bonitas e \u00e9 bem aceite socialmente, mas que tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 vazia, n\u00e3o significa nada! Os Dez Mandamentos, e isso \u00e9 algo que eu costumo brincar, j\u00e1 foram escritos h\u00e1 muito tempo e o mundo \u00e9 como \u00e9. Por exemplo, o 9\u00ba Mandamento diz que n\u00e3o cobi\u00e7ar\u00e1s a mulher do pr\u00f3ximo, e o que disseram os padres? \u201cN\u00e3o \u00e9 deste \u00e9 a do pr\u00f3ximo!\u201d A realidade n\u00e3o se esgota na linguagem, na terminologia que utilizamos. Portanto, muitas vezes, como fen\u00f3meno de massa, a linguagem que se utiliza no Futebol \u00e9 uma linguagem que vem de outra realidade para decifrar algo um pouco mais complexo; \u00e9 simples, mas o simples n\u00e3o \u00e9 o simpl\u00f3rio. Caso contr\u00e1rio, ficamos com a irrealidade da realidade. O simples \u00e9 se calhar a maximiza\u00e7\u00e3o da transcend\u00eancia. \u00c9 por isso que adoro ver a Espanha jogar.<\/p>\n

Ent\u00e3o, os Princ\u00edpios Metodol\u00f3gicos<\/a> s\u00e3o\u2026 e repare que durante muito tempo, 90% das pessoas que falava sobre Periodiza\u00e7\u00e3o T\u00e1tica, nem mencionavam os Princ\u00edpios Metodol\u00f3gicos que \u00e9 o ponto que mais destaco com os alunos, porque uma ideia de jogo toda gente tem, para jogar de uma determinada maneira, depois sistematizando mais ou menos, mas como \u00e9 que se fabrica isso? Eu digo que a especializa\u00e7\u00e3o todos os cozinheiros t\u00eam, e porque \u00e9 que uns s\u00e3o melhores que os outros? Ent\u00e3o \u00e9 porque \u00a0a concep\u00e7\u00e3o tem algo \u00a0de concreto, diferente, original. E isso tem a ver com as doses, ah pois tem! Basta voc\u00ea exagerar \u00a0na dose de um determinado ingrediente que a coisa j\u00e1 n\u00e3o d\u00e1. Isso \u00e9 a causalidade n\u00e3o linear. Esse j\u00e1 era o tema da minha tese de doutoramento, a causalidade n\u00e3o linear na estrutura acontecimental do rendimento superior.<\/p>\n

TP: When you mention the Principle of Complex Progression, are you always referring to going from the lowest to the highest complexity?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Professor V\u00edtor Frade: <\/strong>Yes, that\u2019s obvious. But even that is not linear. Imagine that you are going to coach a new team, you have all the interest that it identifies with your general ideas, macro, how you want them to play. And understand if this is more or less complex than training a transition or something else… That is why I say that hierarchisation must be… and on the first session, look, you don\u2019t know what you will find, but they must know since the beginning how you want them to play in general terms. So, the hierarchisation starts from the macro level, from the object, from the acquisition of the contours of your way of playing. It\u2019s Gestalt, do you understand?!<\/span><\/p>\n

TP: This Principle of Complex Progression, does it also have to do with the <\/strong>Pattern Morphocycle<\/strong><\/a>, does it also consider tactical fatigue?<\/strong><\/h4>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Professor V\u00edtor Frade: <\/strong>Yes, and that is why I call it complex. Because for some reason, even an unexpected one, you cannot do, or you think it\u2019s better that you don\u2019t do what you did the week before. I give an extra rest day for some reason, I don\u2019t know, maybe you had two players sent off, and the team had to work harder\u2026That\u2019s why it is complex, non-linear, it goes back and forth, and that means that all aspects, all circumstances enter your domain, and it is in that sense that I keep highlighting what Mourinho says, that the Model is everything.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Model is everything because\u2026what is the Model?! It is the picture, or maybe the echography that you take of reality so that you can model, it is in this modelling that the approximation between the model and what you are looking for happens. But if you neglect relevant aspects, you are modelling badly. That is why the Model is everything, what ends up being a completely different logic from that one that leads people to say that the model is 4-3-3 or something like that. Look, if a guy… a context, when it is experienced, leads to some postures, attitudes, behaviours, many of them resulting from a habit that might even be sub-conscious, we might not be aware of it, so it is very complex. What I want is an affinity of emotions, a kinship of affection, conceptual sympathy, of a playing idea, and that is achieved through a context, but it cannot be an empty context, like \u201cit\u2019s 11v11 and this and that!\u201d. No! No! These are fractioned contexts concerning a hierarchisation of what I conceive, which is not mandatory, it depends on my deviations, on my circumstances, on my intelligence, that\u2019s it. But it needs to be like this, without losing meaning. That is why I emphasise the Articulation of Meaning. This is complex. You cannot go like that. You cannot have a pre-made road map. No. That is why I say that the \u2018here and now\u2019 is extremely important, and then alright, organisational levels… otherwise you are alienating!<\/p>\n

Imagine a great poet, who was writing to his whole family and suddenly had a cramp on his finger. Even though it is something localised, I cannot write the poem that is in my mind. So, I can have tired legs and then what? I think the game, fantastic, but then what? I can\u2019t play! So, that so-called more physical side is important and is considered by the Horizontal Alternation in Specificity. That is the side that allows me to be fresh to play. And people pass by Training Theory and Methodology, which is a key module, they memorise that and end up knowing nothing. Then because they have less time to spend in the specialisation, it\u2019s only about \u201cGame Model\u201d here, drills over there, Biochemistry and all that\u2026What is that? Maybe it\u2019s shit… And just a few are interested in what is essential, the others don\u2019t even notice it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

TP: So, people that say that <\/strong>Tactical Periodization<\/strong><\/a> has no physiological concerns are mistaken?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Professor V\u00edtor Frade: <\/strong>Of course, because Tactical Periodization says that Tactics are an emergence, an Organisation, which is not physical nor psychological, nor technical but that does not exist without all these. It does not have the physical concerns that most say should be \u2018the\u2019 physical concerns. That is why I say that there is a paradigm that is dominant, the paradigm of the \u2018athlete\u2019: jumping higher, running longer and faster. But that has nothing to do with playing. Playing is something different \u2013 I also have to run, but I have to do it sometimes at speed\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

If Usain Bolt goes for a race with Messi, maybe Messi will start faster, but then when Messi gets to the middle Bolt is already there. Cristiano is fast, but does his speed have anything to do with Messi\u2019s?!<\/p>\n

Then, we could go to the aesthetic side of the Game, in its collective and individual dimensions! So, this is related to what I am highlighting, with efficiency and efficacy but then\u2026this is important, and it is pointless not to consider it, because I think training and playing is to win, and that is why I say that I am constantly focused on efficacy and efficiency, but also continuously concerned and even disturbed by the aesthetic problem! I watch again that Brazil of 1980, 1982 and even of the 1970s, and I love watching that. But is that transferrable to our time? Regarding attack, yes, but now I have to worry about the balance within the team, something they didn\u2019t worry about back then because they didn\u2019t have to do it to keep wining. So, I am interested in the aesthetics!<\/p>\n

Because aesthetics are very relevant with regards to the attack when looking at defence maybe the global side, the formal side may be rich, but the individual cannot, otherwise… in the attack, it can be the opposite! Playing with this possibility in attack and at the same time providing defensive guarantees\u2026even because most goals are scored due to significant defensive imbalances.<\/p>\n

Why did Chile get everyone excited and then was kicked out? Because they get out of balance, they have no game criteria, with Mexico, it was the same thing\u2026those are teams that\u2026That is why Mourinho says\u2026look at how stupid it is, hearing people saying that Mourinho\u2019s team is defensive! So, the guy wins leagues, has the team that scores the most and the team the concedes the least! How can it be defensive? And they win! People do not know what being an attacking team means. Attacking means scoring systematically and not necessarily scoring seven goals. Portugal beat Korea by 7 goals and was kicked out. They did not score on the other matches. This is a problem of ignorance, in this case of what Football is, objectively.<\/p>\n

Mourinho gave a genius interview, he gave this interview right after arriving in Spain, predicting how it would be. And people don\u2019t know, sometimes they take that chit-chat on board that look pretty and are socially well-accepted, but that are also empty, they mean nothing! The Ten Commandments, and this is something I use to joke about, they have been written for a long time, and the world is how it is. For example, the 9th<\/sup> Commandment says that you shall not covet your neighbour\u2019s wife, and what did priests say? Not this neighbour\u2019s wife, the other one! And the reality does not end with language, in the terminology that we use. Many times, as a mass phenomenon, the language that is used in Football is a language that comes from a different reality to decode something that is a little more complex; it is simple, but the simple is not basic. Otherwise we keep the unreality of reality. The simple is maybe the maximisation of transcendency. That is why I love watching Spain play.<\/p>\n

So, the Methodological Principles<\/a> are\u2026and notice that for a long time, 90% of the people that talked about Tactical Periodization, did not even mention the Methodological Principles which is the point I highlight the most with students, because everyone has an idea for playing, for playing in a certain way, then making it more or less systematic, but how do you build that? I say that every chef has a specialisation. But how can some be better than others? That\u2019s because manufacturing has something concrete, different, original. And that has to do with the dose. Oh, it does! You just need to use too much of a certain ingredient, and it will taste very different. That is non-linear causality. You know, that was already the theme of my doctoral thesis, the non-linear causality in the casual structure of high performance.<\/p>\n
